Your FYD kit is dispatched to arrive on Day 1 of your booking — ready to go straight out of the box. Inside you'll find your camcorder, batteries, charger, memory card, easy-to-follow instructions guide, camera bag and prompt cards to help you and your guests capture all the best moments.

We recommend having a quick test run before your event day so everyone feels confident picking it up and filming.

Get the camcorder rolling! Our top tip — don't give the camera to the bridal party. They're by your side all day and will miss the moments happening around them.

Instead, choose 2–3 relaxed, social guests before the day and brief your MC to announce the camera early in the reception. The more people who know it's there, the better your footage will be.

Pack everything back into the FYD box — camcorder, batteries, charger, and bag — and use the prepaid return label included. Drop it at your nearest NZ Post by Day 7 of your booking.

On the last day of your booking, we'll ask you to fill in a short survey — tell us about your day, any special moments, meaningful songs, or people we should look out for. It helps us make sure nothing important gets missed in the edit. Please complete this within 48 hours of returning your kit — after this, we can't guarantee your responses will be incorporated before editing begins.

Once we receive your kit, we get to work. We carefully go through all your footage, select the best moments, and craft them into something beautiful. Within 4 weeks you'll receive a link with everything inside:

• All your raw footage to keep forever
• Your 3–5 minute edited highlight film
• Your 30–60 second social edit (Social Add-on only — delivered within 2 weeks so you can start sharing while the excitement is fresh. Sent without music so you can add your own when posting)
