Yes — every kit includes an easy-to-follow instructions guide and prompt cards. If you can use a phone, you can use this. We also recommend having a quick play before your event so you feel confident on the day.
Not necessarily — but FYD works brilliantly alongside one too. A traditional videographer captures the formal moments. FYD captures everything in between — the candid, the chaotic, the emotional moments that only your people would catch.
Your kit includes the camcorder, 2 batteries, charger, memory card, an easy-to-follow instructions guide, prompt cards, and a prepaid return label. Everything you need, nothing you don't.
The memory card holds up to 10 hours of footage. The two batteries provide up to 8 hours of recording time combined. For multi-day events, charge the batteries overnight between days.
Your kit arrives on Day 1 of your booking period, ready to go. We recommend having a quick test run before your event day.
Pack everything back into the FYD box — camcorder, batteries, charger, bag, and cards — and use the prepaid return label included. Drop it at your nearest NZ Post by Day 7 of your booking. That's it!
Contact us before posting anything — do not guess the address. We'll sort a new label for you quickly.
All deliverables — your raw footage and 3–5 minute highlight film — are delivered via a private link within 4 weeks of us receiving your kit. Add the Social Edit and your 30-second Instagram and TikTok-ready clip arrives within 2 weeks, so you can share while the excitement is still fresh.
At booking you'll share your music preferences — top song picks, favourite artists, genres, and the vibe you're going for. We will try our best to use your preference or find the closest match we can. For your social edit, you can add your own music when posting to Instagram or TikTok.
30 days from the date of delivery. We strongly recommend downloading and backing up your files to at least two places as soon as you receive them. We don't store footage permanently.
A $99 NZD damage waiver is included in every booking and covers minor accidental damage. Loss, theft, water damage, or significant damage may incur a replacement fee of up to $500 NZD. See our Booking & Hire Agreement for full details.
Contact us immediately and we will arrange a replacement or full refund. All equipment is tested before it leaves us but if something isn't right, we'll fix it fast.
Absolutely — FYD works beautifully for any special occasion. Birthdays, engagements, anniversary parties, corporate events — if it's worth remembering, it's worth filming.
